We are very clean workers and always try our best to keep any mess to a minimum, however, we advise all customers to cover soft furnishings just as a precaution, as we are finding many fireplaces we are going to are badly fitted or poorly constructed, and can leak soot at places that we have no control over.
All chimneys have to be brushed through (proper size brush to be used), our industrial vacuum helps us clear up and has no bearing on the sweeping of the chimney. Note! There are sweeps working the North Down area who are not using a brush! IF THEY HAVEN'T USED A BRUSH THEY ARE NOT SWEEPING YOUR CHIMNEY, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
